Section 7361 of the Judicial Code provides that all civil cases wherein the amount in controversy shall be $25,000.00 or less may be submitted to arbitration prior to being placed on a trial list. The Board consists of three attorneys who are members of the Jefferson County Bar. The Board conducts a hearing and promptly renders a decision based on the information presented. Either party may appeal the decision of the arbitrators to the Court of Common Pleas.
